SXSW UPDATE 3-14-11

We’re headed to Lubbock, Tx tomorrow to play our first show

there in 3 years. Watch out ladies, our good buddies, the Amputators (from Steamboat Springs - link), will be travelling with us!  Thanks Joseph Gant for organizing this show. You're a peach. Please check www.lordsoffuzz.com for specifics.

Our good buddy Matt Hudnall (link) has organized a great show

for us in downtown Dallas, Tx this Wednesday @ Bill’s Records (link). Thank you Matt! Looking forward to seeing you and Bill again.

Then it’s on to Austin, Tx for 3 great shows. Some of the awesome

Bands we’ll get to play with include: Lions, Skrew, Honky, and White Rhino as well as Denver greats The Knew (link) and Panal s.a. de c.v (link).

We are very stoked about this new blog page. Twitter is for teasing. This is more like making love – porno style!

HC, Leeroy, Mugger and myself have had an amazing winter so far. We took some time off from gigging to write

new material, build our recording studio and of course to strap the boards on and pound the powder!! 

Recording should commence soon and we have decided to hire producer/mixing extraordinaire Pete deBoer (link) to quarterback the project. Some of the new song titles include: ‘Demons’, ‘Silver Tongue’ and ‘The Flirt’.

Recording will take place in the new Sailor Records studio built in the bottom floor up my house . Thanks goes to Austin Mackintosh and Ryan Pharo (for construction duties), Bryan Feuchtinger (for design advice and love) and Frank Schultz for the recording equipment and leaving his Benzo in my garage to use for 6 weeks!

 Our 3^rd trip to SXSW is just right around the corner. We love going to Austin and hitting Dallas and Lubbock on the way down. This includes a stop on the way back at my dad’s house in 
Carlsbad, NM for some home cooking and cold beer.  Please stay tuned for show updates.
